If you don’t know what a talker is, don’t worry. They are reserved for those with an interest in computing or those who were around the internet before chat rooms, instant messenger and forums, and who have an interest in computing. 

A talker is essentially the original instant messenger, well I think so. It’s clunky and text based, just like all those dos commands you love to hate!
